Naughty Dog is known to make some of the best games that the industry has seen. These games include Jak and Daxter, The Last of Us, Crash Bandicoot, and Uncharted. The Last of Us and Uncharted were released initially on the PlayStation 3 so that they could showcase how games look on the next-gen console, and we must say both of the games really outdid themselves. The games were then released again on the PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5 with enhanced graphics.
However, today we will only be focusing on the Uncharted games, and we will rank them so that you would know which one is better than the others. Lucky for you, you can download the remasters on the PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5 from the PlayStation Store, but for that, you would need a superfast internet connection. Once you make sure your internet is good enough, you can download all the Uncharted games in the following order:
Uncharted 2: Among Thieves
Even though this was the second game in the entire series, it could still be considered the best one. Everyone remembers the start of Uncharted 2 because of how iconic it was, with Nate hanging from a tree that is hanging off a cliff. The game is also brilliant from a storyline perspective as Nate makes his way to find the lost treasure of Shambala. The game has amazing gunplay, and it has the kind of gameplay that has you hooked through the entirety of it.
The game also has other characters that play an important role in the story, and the game also shows how there’s “no honor among thieves” and how there are a lot of betrayals involved. The game also involves a lot of locations that you can go to, which adds to the beauty of the game.
Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End
The latest in the storyline of Nathan Drake is A Thief’s End which is the fourth game in the installment, and it came on the PlayStation 4 initially. The game features the end of the story of Nathan Drake and how he finally leaves behind the life of an explorer, adventurer, and treasure hunter. The story is about how Nate’s brother Sam makes a return after all these years, and he convinces Nate to look for the treasure of famous pirate Henry Avery, one last time. However, this game also involves a lot of betrayals, and there are some heartbreaks that really leave a hole in your heart.
The game has brilliant mechanics, and they made the best out of PlayStation 4’s next-gen specs. The game saw a massive improvement in the graphics and the gameplay, with the addition of a grappling hook that made the game a lot more interesting to play. However, in this part, we see a lot less of Victor Sullivan as Nate’s partner, and we see a lot more of Samuel Drake instead.
Uncharted 3: Drake’s Deception
The game finally digs a lot deeper into the ancestry of Nate, and delves deeper into his childhood. This game finally points out how Nate met Sully in the first place and how the both of them started working together. The game also lays emphasis on their bond and this game also shows the importance of Sir Francis Drake’s ring that Nate wears around his neck. In this game, Nate also finally gets married, which finally leads to him retiring from the explorer’s job now that he has a lot more responsibilities as the game transitions from Uncharted 3 to Uncharted 3.
What was new in Uncharted 3 was the fact that it allowed you to toss grenades back at enemies, which meant that you could save up on your own grenades. The game was also interesting in terms of the gameplay, gunplay, and the hand to hand combat. However, it should be noted that the final boss was a bit underwhelming in comparison to the previous one in Uncharted 2.
Uncharted: Drake’s Fortune
The first part in the installment, the game that started it all. Drake’s Fortune is about how Nate initially starts off his adventure and how he opens the coffin of his ancestor, Sir Francis Drake, only to find out that the coffin is empty and only has Sir Francis’ diary inside. Nate uses that to find the lost city of El Dorado, something that Sir Francis Drake was trying to find as well, in contrast to Spaniards who cursed in the process of looking for the treasure. Given that the game was released on the PlayStation 3, it is still an interesting game to play even today.

Uncharted will always be one of the best video game series created by Naughty Dog. If you are someone who takes an interest in history, parkour, gunplay, and story-driven games, then Uncharted is definitely for you to play!
